On 11 July 2026, the week-long Kuen Cheng English Week, organized by the English Department in collaboration with the English Language Society and the Western Calligraphy Club, wrapped up on a high note. To mark the occasion, a closing ceremony was held to celebrate the success of the event. Throughout the week, students took part in a variety of activities, including spelling bees, food vlog competitions, singing competitions, and many more. These activities were designed to promote the use of the English language while helping students build their confidence and communication skills in a fun environment. The long-awaited moment finally arrived as the winners of the various competitions were announced.
The closing ceremony began with a speech by the Principal. Then, all finalists of the singing competition took the stage and performed with remarkable confidence and talent. The audience erupted into applause after each performance, showing their appreciation for the contestants’ outstanding efforts. With every finalist delivering such impressive performances, it was difficult to predict who would be the winner.
Following the solo singing competition finalists, it was time for the team finalists to take the stage. Each team delivered an amazing performance, showcasing excellent harmony, strong teamwork, and impressive stage presence. Their voices blended beautifully, creating performances that were both entertaining and memorable. The audience was thoroughly engaged, clapping and cheering enthusiastically after every performance. It was evident that the team’s efforts were not wasted.
