To celebrate the 118th Kuen Cheng Anniversary, two Culture Shows were warmly presented to the public on the 19th & 20th June 2026. These inspiring performances also helped raise building funds for the establishment of Kuen Cheng High School 2—an exciting new extension created to meet the growing demand for quality high school education.
On a lightly rainy evening on 20 July 2026, many people gathered at Lee Shin Cheng Hall to enjoy the second day performance. Before entering, guests warmly welcomed the process, presenting their tickets to the Committee, who checked and collected them with care.
By around 7:15 pm, the hall was already buzzing and packed with eager audience members, all anticipating the show. The performance featured talented arts groups and clubs such as the Chinese Folk Dance Club, School Choir, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Philharmonic Orchestra, Diabolo Club, Drama Club, Chinese Martial Arts (Wushu), Sport Stacking Club, and the 24 Festive Drums, bringing energy, culture, and excitement to the evening.
At 7.30pm, the masters of ceremonies started the event. They first welcomed the distinguished guests and Madam Principal Chua Lee Lee onto the stage. The performance began with a gong-hitting ceremony, drum-beating ceremony, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by our special guests. On the count of three, the hall erupted with cheers and applause as the special guests officially opened the show. Day 2 of the Kuen Cheng 118th Anniversary Culture Show has officially begun!

The show opened with a powerful performance by the 24 Festive Drums team, captivating the audience with its energy and precision with its mysterious atmosphere. Next, came the elegant and graceful performance by the Rhythmic Gymnastics. The club members’ movements were perfectly synchronized with the music. Soon, the audience were captivated by the swift and skillful movements from the Sport Stacking Club. Even after switching from cups to big buckets, they skillfully stacked and rearranged the buckets at remarkable speed, leaving the audience in awe.
Next, came a meaningful and moving drama from the Drama Club entitled Life’s Answer Sheet. It explores the decisions we make in life and it leads us. Although no decision is perfect, each choice brings unique experiences that others may wish to have, teaching us to be grateful for what we have now.

Afterwards, our Sr2ComB student Ng Jiun (吴军) performed Your Name Engraved Herein on the harmonica with guitar accompaniment. The performance was well received, and many audience members swayed along to the music. The Diabolo Club presented a vibrant performance using glowing diabolos, illuminating the stage with brilliant blue and pink lights. This was followed by a 20-minute intermission, which allowed the audience to rest before the next portion of the show.
The first performance after the intermission was the famous piece Pomp and Circumstance March No.1 by Sir Edward Elgar, presented by the Philharmonic Orchestra. Following this was a dance performance by the Chinese Folk Dance Club. With their graceful movements and colourful costumes, the dancers resembled beautiful flowers blooming across the stage.

Next, came a drama-like performance by the Wushu Club entitled Wushu · AI Generation (武·AI时代). The performers showcased a series of high-difficulty martial arts techniques while creatively blending traditional wushu with robot-inspired movements. This performance received enthusiastic applause and cheers from the audience, as the performers skillfully executed a variety of difficult movements.

Her beautiful voice filled the hall, captivating the audience with its warmth and emotion. Last but not least, the School Choir performed two songs, Big Fish (大鱼) and You Raise Me Up. Their harmonious voices and heartfelt performance truly captivated the audience, making the evening a memorable conclusion.
Finally, the second day of the Kuen Cheng 118th Anniversary Culture Show came to an end. All the performers gathered on stage for a final bow as joyful music filled the hall and the audience responded with enthusiastic, rhythmic applause.
