To enhance students’ creativity and allow them to experience the festive atmosphere of Chinese New Year, the Academic Department of Kuen Cheng High School organized an engaging workshop titled “New Year Celebration | Decoden Cream Keychain DIY Workshop” on 9 and 11 February 2026.
Before the session began, each student was provided with a set of materials, including a tube of decoden cream, a keychain base, a variety of decorative charms, and a transparent box to store their completed keychain.
The workshop began with students squeezing decoden cream onto the keychain base to create intricate and creative patterns. They then decorated their designs with charms such as Chinese fans, and firecracker ornaments. To enhance the overall appearance, they sprinkled colourful sequins as a finishing touch. After completing the design, students attached a chain to the keychain base to finish their artwork.

Once the keychains were completed, the students used the same techniques to decorate their transparent boxes, making each set uniquely personalised.
