It was truly a privilege that Kuen Cheng Co-Curricular Societies were invited by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) to participate in its Majlis Menuju Sambutan Tahun Baharu Cina, a Chinese New Year Luncheon on 11 February 2026. Our clubs and societies including The Calligraphy Club, Air Scout, Diabolo Club, 24 Festive Drums, and the Chinese Orchestra were invited to give performances where they could showcase Chinese cultural activities. This unique opportunity has not only demonstrated our students’ diverse talents and distinctive Chinese cultural heritage, but also provided them with a platform for experiential learning and community service. At the same time, it strengthened the connection and collaboration between the school and the corporate sector, effectively enhancing students’ confidence, sense of responsibility, and team spirit.

Throughout the event, each club and society had clear roles and worked in close cooperation. Each participating group carried out their respective duties and fully demonstrated the diverse talents and teamwork, adding a strong festive atmosphere to the luncheon. Notably, the Calligraphy Club wrote spring couplets and Chinese New Year greetings on-site, interacting warmly with guests and actively promoting the art of Chinese calligraphy. On the other hand, the Air Scout conducted Chinese knotting workshops, patiently guiding guests in making traditional Chinese knot decorations, adding to the festive cultural ambience. The Chinese Orchestra performed several festive songs, showcasing the beauty of Chinese musical heritage. The 24 Festive Drums delivered a powerful and magnificent drumming performance, creating a vibrant and joyous atmosphere for all guests. Last but not least, the Diabolo Club presented high-level technical performances, demonstrating smooth and skillful movements that earned enthusiastic applause from the audience. All societies showed strong commitment and cooperation, ensuring the smooth running of the event.

In particular, the Air Scout demonstrated excellent organizational and communication abilities during the Chinese knotting sessions. Students also cultivated a stronger sense of responsibility and teamwork through collaboration and external engagement. The overall performance of our school societies received high praise and recognition from the organizer.
