On the 1st of July 2025, a vibrant opening ceremony in the school courtyard officially launched the Kuen Cheng Science Week 2025!
It was a warm and bright Tuesday morning. As teachers and students gathered around the court, the ceremony began with the flag-raising ceremony, which was then followed by the members of the Presidential Committee lighting up the flame in the cauldron, symbolising the start of the ceremony. Within seconds, the opening performance presented by the Wushu Club revolved around the flame, with the highlights being the tip of the weapons lit with flame, making it a feast for the eyes of the audience.

The ceremony continued with an opening address from the Vice Principal of Kuen Cheng High School, Ms Koo Lai Ping. She thanked all the teachers, committee members, and clubs that have contributed and made the Science Week event possible. She reiterated her hopes that students stay curious, consistently ask questions and generously share opinions. Ms Koo sincerely hopes that students can discover the fascination of sciences through the various Science Week activities held by the committee.

Two more Vice Principals, Madam Chong Siew Fah and Mr Tan Yong Chin joined Vice Principal Koo in the launching of the water rocket during the opening ceremony. Kuen Cheng Science Week 2025 begins on a delightful note with a group photo, highlighting our commitment to providing students with opportunities for exploration, innovation, and limitless possibilities in science.
