         Teachers’ Day serves as a reminder of the contributions and dedication made by educators. From textbook lessons to life guidance, teachers play a crucial role in cultivating responsibility and knowledge among students. To celebrate the efforts and dedication of our teachers, Kuen Cheng High School held the Teachers’ Day Celebration on the 24th of May 2025. The event was carried out in the hall at 7.55 a.m.

         After students and teachers entered the hall, the ceremony began with a blasting dance performance brought by “Fantazine” and Mr Ryan Chu Wai Kong, the 2nd place holder of the Student-Teacher Talent Competition 2025. Combining lively dance movements with modern K-pop music, the performance marked the start of this exciting Teachers’ Day Celebration.

         The Principal of Kuen Cheng High School, Madam Chua Lee Lee, delivered an inspiring opening speech. In her address, she expressed her gratitude to all the teachers for their endless support and dedication to educating the students. She pointed out her great respect for the teachers receiving the Long Service Award for their unwavering dedication to guiding students in achieving high standards. Before ending her speech, she also thanked the Discipline Department for guiding the student organizing committee team in hosting this teachers’ day celebration. Next, the presidential team of the Teachers’ Day Student Committee Team 2025, namely Felicia Yo Xiao Xuan (Sr2ScC), Lee Zi Lin (Sr2ComA) and Yan Xiao Chee (Sr2ComB) gave their speech. They conveyed their thanks to all the teachers for their dedication and sacrifices, wishing them a happy and memorable Teacher’s Day.

         The opening ceremony then carried on. The lighting of lanterns with words of the Teachers’ Day theme symbolised the beginning of this year’s Teachers’ Day celebration. Following on is the cake-cutting ceremony, led by the Principal, Madam Chua Lee Lee, and accompanied by all teachers on stage.

         After the cake-cutting ceremony, the atmosphere in the hall became heartfelt as the screen illuminated a special video dedicated to the teachers. The video featured heartwarming messages from students, expressing their admiration. The students shared touching memories and words of appreciation to the teachers who taught them and guided them.

         Next, the students and teachers came together to contribute thoughtful gifts as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation. These gifts symbolised their deep gratitude for the respective teacher’s dedication, care and invaluable guidance over the years. It was a touching moment that brought warmth to the hall.

         Before the ceremony ended, the group “Sunflowers House” presented a performance which was more likely an online game. The crowd had fun and clapped cheerfully. Next, the performance coming up was “斗地主” which presented a dance performance by a teacher and her students. They captivated the audience with their energetic dance performance. Last but not least, was the group “Dreamy Dancer” who got 1st place in the Student-Teacher Talent Competition 2025. The group danced gracefully and the audience gave them a round of enthusiastic applause.

         With that, the 2025 Teachers’ Day came to a successful close. A special thank you to all the students, volunteers, and teachers for their commitment and effort.
