To let students gain a deeper understanding about children’s literature, the Federation of Alumni Associations of Taiwan Universities, Malaysia held the 18th Children’s Literature Award Ceremony on 14 March 14 2026 at the Kuen Cheng High School Auditorium.
Teacher Wong Yun Teng delivered a lecture titled “From Earth to Mars: Chinese Authors Crossing Scientific Frontiers”. To make the lecture more engaging, she prepared some games and interacted with the audience. Besides that, she also shared cross-disciplinary creative journey and writing experience to all of us, and emphasized the importance of logic in novel writing. “The answer lies not in confrontation, but in curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking,” said Teacher Wong in her presentation.

It was said that the average level of the entries were higher than the past few years, though the writing technique, structure and language of the entries can be improved. She also told us not to rely on artificial intelligence too much, and reminded us to target children as the main audience.
