Kuen Cheng High School students achieved a new all-time high in the SPM 2025 results—an amazing achievement to be proud of!
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia 2025 (SPM), national examination results announced by the Ministry of Education today, 31/3/2026, showed that Grade Purata Sekolah (GPS) of Kuen Cheng High School has also reached an outstanding result this year, achieving 2.39 and setting a new annual record. This achievement recognizes the hard work and dedication of all teachers and students over the past year. It also demonstrates continuous improvement and steady progress, laying a solid foundation for reaching a higher level of development.
There are a total of 851 candidates in this SPM 2025. Among them, 582 students obtained excellent grades of 5 A’s and above, accounting for 68.4% of the candidates. It was truly a rewarding experience for our students during their academic year.

Notably, 199 students—through solid knowledge and persistent effort—achieved outstanding grades, including 10A’s, 11A’s, and even 12A’s. This clearly reflects the spirit of Kuen Cheng students: diligent in learning, thoughtful in thinking, committed to excellence, and constantly pushing beyond their limits.

In terms of performance across subjects, our students also showed consistent and outstanding results. In core subjects such as languages and mathematics and science, the overall standard remained excellent. In Mathematics, 96.4% of candidates achieved Distinction (refer to A+/A/A-), while 85.5% attained Distinction in English. In addition, subjects such as Bahasa Melayu, English, English Literature, Science, Islamic Studies, and Art all recorded a 100% pass rate, clearly demonstrating our strong and steady teaching foundation, as well as its continuous improvement and growing academic strength. Notably, Chinese Literature, which is a compulsory subject in our school, also saw continuous improvement, with the overall pass rate reaching a new high. Among the candidates, 368 students (46.2%) achieved Distinction, delivering particularly impressive results and further highlighting the deep foundation and excellence in mother-tongue education of Kuen Cheng High School.
