Following the previous Saturday’s Bizarre Creation Showdown (Part 1) – Preparation and Production Day, Kuen Cheng High School finally welcomed the Bizarre Creation Showdown Finals: Product Launch on 22nd March 2025!

At exactly 10:30 a.m., Senior Three students from Commerce and Arts classes made their way from their classrooms to the C9 Activity Room to prepare for the upcoming final round of the competition. The competition officially began at 11:00 a.m., hosted by two Senior Three students from the Broadcasting Club. They first introduced the rules and key details of the product launch: each class had ten minutes to present their product, including a poster, advertisement, and PowerPoint slides. The judging criteria were based on creativity, practicality, advertising, poster design, and stage performance.

The panel of judges for this event included Madam Loh Hoi Yuen and Ms. Tan Huei Chee, Admin Head and Assistant Admin Head from the Academic Department, respectively, as well as Ms. Ng Li San, Assistant Admin Head from the Co-Curricular Department.

The product launch kicked off with students from the first group of Sr3B, who presented “Umbrella-la Arrives” (伞伞来迟), a multi-functional umbrella. This umbrella combines a drink holder, headlamp, and sunshade, offering not only sun and rain protection but also emotional comfort, in line with their slogan: “Shield from the sun, soothe the soul.” (遮阳避暑,抚慰心灵) After introducing their product, they performed a short skit, filling the room with laughter.

Next, students from Sr3ComB showcased a series of products, including a tie umbrella, anti-stalking shoes, and a multi-functional raincoat. Their products were thoroughly described, allowing the audience to gain a clearer understanding of their practical applications. They were created to serve both as self-defence tools and protection against the weather.

Following them, the second team from Sr3A, MaoMotion Co. (茅动有限公司), presented their product: MaoMotion (茅动), a portable mobile toilet designed in the shape of a motorcycle. It provides a convenient solution for people facing difficulties during long-distance travel or outdoor activities.

Next, Sr3ComA introduced “Shining Elf” (光闪小精灵), a three-in-one outfit that lights up, makes sounds, and shields from rain. The presenters explained that when worn, users can turn on the built-in light to indicate direction changes, press the “Screaming Chicken” (尖叫鸡) to alert people ahead, and flip up a plastic cover from the back for rain protection.

Next, Sr3ComC’s “company,” Squabble, introduced “Blup Blup,” a hat with a built-in wig designed to prevent students from falling over while sleeping on the train ride home. Their slogan, “Dream Beyond,” complemented their cinematic-style advertisement, which concluded their presentation on a dramatic note.

Finally, the last presentation was by students from the second team of Sr3B, who introduced the “Wind Shadow Hat” (風影帽). This innovative hat integrates anti-harassment features, built-in card-swiping convenience, and sweat-wiping functionality for daily use or sports activities.

After all the teams had completed their presentations, the judges stepped forward to share their final thoughts and evaluations. Ms. Ng expressed that she felt the pressure of scoring, as each team had its own strengths. However, she noted that the posters lacked distinct features to make them stand out. Madam Loh was highly impressed by the students’ creativity and their ability to apply what they had learned, though she felt the advertisements did not fully highlight the unique selling points of the products’ unique selling points.

Lastly, Ms. Tan pointed out areas for improvement, such as avoiding negative language during presentations and providing clearer explanations of the products.
