During the recent Kuen Cheng Spring Festival activity, held from 5th January till 15th January 2022, the Advertising Team for this event has played an important part in making this event a success. Therefore, we had an exclusive interview with the President, Chong Su Wen, from year 2022’s Sr2ScC, to understand more about her role.
What are the jobs of the events for Advertising Team?
Our jobs were designing posters for all the Kuen Cheng Spring Festival’s competitions. We were also responsible for the announcements in the Kuen Cheng Facebook page. For the school‘s bulletin board, we first designed the board online and then continued with the decoration. We also edited promotional videos for the CNY activity in school. The documentary video reviewed the activities in Kuen Cheng High School. The preparatory process was also done by us but this video hasn’t been officially released.

Were there problems faced during the process?
One of the main problems faced was time. This is because we had to finish the designs, posters, videos and other tasks within a short period of time. A lot of changes had to be made as well multiple times, due to the proofreading process in order to produce the best posters and videos for the spring festival activity.

What are the criterias to join the events Advertising Team?
There are three criterias:
1) Understand the advertising team, what it is about and its job scope.
2) Possess artistic personality and experience in using different editing apps such as Canva and Procreate.
3) Flexible and able to join in online meetings anytime set by the President.
Of course, the participant’s performance at the interview will also be counted, such as being able to list down his/her strengths.

What inspired you to be the President of the Team?
I like to participate in various activities, no matter inside or outside the school. Besides, I always want to challenge myself to perform better. I enjoy leading roles and I also want to work on my leadership skills.
