Kuen Cheng High School conducted a 2-Day First Aid in the Workplace Training on 14 and 15/6/2025, over the weekend. This program, tailored by St. John Ambulance of Malaysia, Wilayah Persekutuan, saw enthusiastic participation from forty teachers and staff members.
The safety and well-being of students and staff are of utmost importance, making first aid knowledge an essential component of education in the workplace. The training combined comprehensive theoretical instruction with practical application, covering the following areas:
Introduction to First Aid
Participants learned how to provide immediate assistance to injured individuals prior to the arrival of medical personnel, and an ambulance. First aid is needed to preserve life. Attendees acquired essential skills and practiced in small groups, focusing on rescue breathing and performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Special guidance was also provided on the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for medical emergencies.
General Management
Topics included the management of choking, fractures, burns and scalds, as well as bleeding and wounds.
